Stoneleigh and Sydney Festival 2010 – a perfect match! Since the first festival in 1977, the phenomenon that is Sydney Festival has grown to become one of Australia's largest annual cultural celebrations with an international reputation for modern, popular and intelligent events and activities. For three weeks each January the festival offers a rich program of around 80 events, involving upwards of 500 artists from Australia and abroad covering dance, theatre, music and visual arts. Stoneleigh were proud to be involved in the festival acitivities below that took place between 9-30 January and highly recommend you check out next years festival!


Sydney's funkiest pop-up bar, the Stoneleigh Lounge returned for Sydney Festival! Constructed from a 40 foot shipping container weighing in at 12 tonnes (much of that the famous Stoneleigh sunstones that line the bar), the Lounge popped up at various sites around the Sydney CBD during the festival, including the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Bungalow 8.

 


As part of this year's activities, visitors to the festival tuned in to the Stoneleigh Moments Facebook group for information about a secret event. If you are not already a member, join today and encourage your friends and family to join as well. This is fast becoming a hot spot of information for all who love the taste of Stoneleigh!


Fast Festival Feasts was the perfect way to sample some of Sydney’s finest restaurants. Throughout the Festival between the times of 12pm and 1pm, and 6pm-7pm, visitors could visit any of the ‘Fast Festival Feast’ restaurants for a sumptuous main course accompanied by a glass of Stoneleigh wine and finished off with a Ferrero Rocher chocolate for only AUD$30 (incl GST).
