True to Stoneleigh style, this classic, elegant Chardonnay captures the essence of Marlborough, New Zealand's most acclaimed winemaking region. This full-bodied, flavoursome Chardonnay has been crafted from well-ripened, intensely flavoured grapes. It brings together both the viticulture and winemaking aspects of producing wine. In keeping with the aromatic qualities that the terrior provides, I have used a blend of barrel fermentation (60%) to give the wine toasty oak nuances and complexity and blended this with a stainless steel component that has added both freshness and fruit purity. Malolactic fermentation and lees stirring have added palate weight.
